Flight plan · how GATE works

Memes that fly to stocks.

GATE is an airport for stocks on Robinhood Chain. Every flight is a meme launched on Pons whose bonding curve is quoted in a Robinhood stock token instead of ETH. This is the plan: the idea, the flight, the terminal and the fine print.

00Overview

Memes on Pons usually trade against ETH. Pons also lets a creator pick a different quote asset for the bonding curve, and Robinhood Chain carries 194 Robinhood stock tokens. Put the two together and a meme can be bought in NVDA, TSLA or an S&P 500 ETF token. GATE shows those memes as flights:

FLIGHTA meme token launched on Pons whose curve is quoted in a stock token.
DESTINATIONThat stock. Every buy of the meme pays in it.
BOARDINGStill on its Pons bonding curve.
DEPARTEDGraduated from the curve into its pool.
ABOARDHow many stock tokens the curve holds right now.

IThe idea

01The gap

Memes raise fast. A good one fills its curve in hours, and every buyer pays in whatever the curve is quoted in. On Pons that is normally ETH.

Stocks are worth owning. They are the thing people want to hold after the noise is gone. On Robinhood Chain they already exist as tokens, but a meme and a stock rarely meet.

GATE closes the gap by watching one specific kind of launch: a meme whose curve collects a stock token. The meme is the vehicle; the stock is where the money lands. GATE does not change how Pons works. It only reads these launches from the chain, puts them on a board and helps you start one.

02Stock tokens on Robinhood Chain

Robinhood stock tokens are ERC-20 tokens on Robinhood Chain (chain id 4663). Robinhood lists 194 active ones, each with 18 decimals.

03Picking a destination

The destination is fixed at launch. When a creator calls the Pons factory, the third argument they pass is the quote asset: the token the bonding curve is priced in. If that address is one of Robinhood's stock tokens, the meme is a GATE flight and the stock is its destination.

Any of the 194 active stock tokens can be a destination. In the last 24 hours (5 Oct 2026) Pons saw about 3,800 launches, and about 250 of them chose a stock token. The busiest destinations were NVDA (82), SpaceX SPCX (73) and DJT (19).

04Boarding: the curve in stock

While a meme is on its Pons bonding curve, it is BOARDING. Buying the meme means paying the curve in the destination stock token; selling the meme takes stock tokens back out of it. The curve itself is the gate area: everyone who boards adds stock to it.

That is why GATE measures a flight by what is aboard: the curve's balanceOf in the stock token, read straight from Robinhood Chain.

05Departure: graduation

When a curve completes, Pons graduates the token and emits PoolGraduated. From then on the meme trades in its pool, paired with the same stock. On the board the flight turns DEPARTED.

Not every flight departs. A curve that never fills simply stays boarding.

The home page is the departures board. It is read live from Robinhood Chain: recent Pons launches whose quote asset is a stock token, with their status and what is aboard, plus the top destinations by number of flights.

09Launch, step by step

↑/launch
  1. Pick a destination. Search the 194 stock tokens and choose one. Its address becomes the quote asset.
  2. Name the flight. Name, ticker, image, and optionally a description and a link.
  3. Connect a wallet on Robinhood Chain (chain id 4663).
  4. GATE simulates the launch with eth_call before anything is signed, so a call that would fail is caught first.
  5. You sign one transaction to the Pons factory: launchToken(params, 0, quoteAsset, []), where quoteAsset is the stock token address, with the 0.0005 ETH launch fee as value.
  6. The meme appears on Pons and, once indexed, on the board as BOARDING.
GATE never holds your keys or your coins. The transaction goes from your wallet straight to the Pons factory; GATE has no contract in between.

10Fees

FEEAMOUNT · WHO GETS IT
PONS LAUNCH FEE0.0005 ETH per launch, set by the factory (launchFee()).
PONS CURVE FEE1% of every curve trade: about 70% to the token's creator (fee recipient), the rest to the Pons protocol.
GATENo fee. GATE takes nothing from launches or trades.

11Risks

  • Memes can go to zero. A meme has no promised value, whatever stock it flies to.
  • Stock tokens are debt securities of Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited. They give economic exposure only, with no legal or beneficial rights in the underlying shares, and carry the issuer's risk.
  • Oracle staleness. Chainlink feeds for stock tokens update 24/5. Outside market hours a price can be old while on-chain trading continues.
  • A curve may never graduate. Many flights stay boarding.
  • Not for US persons. Stock tokens are not available to US persons.
  • GATE is an independent interface, not affiliated with Robinhood or Pons. Nothing here is investment advice.

12Contracts & sources
